On or April 12, 2012, a female was stopped in traffic on Capital of Texas Highway, heading northbound, in Travis County, Texas. At the same time an insured driver was traveling at a high rate of speed behind our client’s stopped vehicle. She failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to control her speed, failed to timely apply her brakes, and rear-ended our client’s vehicle. As a result of the collision, Ms. Cervantes suffered injuries to her back, causing bulging discs. This was a high-impact collision as the other driver’s vehicle was rendered useless and towed from the scene. Briggle & Polan lawyers were able to successfully settle the client’s claim for $40,000 as a result of the substantial injuries she sustained.
